Roan Mountain day 2

On day 2 of Roan Mountain Campground ground We again when up to Carver Gap and we hiked up to the top of Roan Mountain. We wanted to see the rhododendrons Garden that is located at the top. We are about two weeks before they bloom but they would be absolutely gorgeous. While we were up there we got caught in a thunderstorm with hail. We took shelter and were fine for the major part of the storm.We had to walk the rest of the way down the mountain to the car in a slight rain and a few flashes of lightening, no big deal The 2nd & 3rd pic show some of the hail that was still on the side of the road half hour later.
